Pink Lake – Int. Gay Festival

Events in big cities and the holiday hotspots of the gay community have long since become permanent fixtures of the annual party season. Which makes the idea of hosting an event “off the beaten track”, in a small town in the heart of Europe, appear somewhat unusual – but that’s precisely what makes the Pink Lake Festival so attractive!
Not the usual big-city backdrop, no parades for the titillation of curious onlookers, but rather an international get-together for gays, lesbians and everyone in between, including friends of the community,… converging from different countries and gathering in a beautiful town amidst magical countryside and directly at the lake!
Beach Volleyball World Tour – Klagenfurt

Beach volleyball exists much longer than you might think. But it took centuries until it became a professional sport. Since 2002, the joust in Klagenfurt is classified as Grand Slam. Many organizers come to Klagenfurt to learn from this joust.
Furthermore, many VIPs attend the event and enjoy the party feeling!
Although fun, atmosphere and lifestyle party is very important for the whole event, the top performance of the players takes centre stage.
Fête Blanche - Wörthersee

Since the seventies of the last century, the Fête Blanche is being celebrated around lake Wörthersee. It began as a legendary Drop-In party for a few guests. Today it is the biggest lifestyle and society event in Austria. More than 50.000 visitors come to celebrate each year. You can expect great partys and clubbings, fashion shows and concerts, dinners and cocktail partys all around the lake...Dress code: white of course!
ORF Starnacht auf der Seebühne in Klagenfurt

The countdown for the 12th gala night "Starnacht am Wörthersee" has started. On July 14th, 2012 international and national stars from the music industry will come to lake Wörthersee to inspire thousands of fans.
The successful production of the Austrian broadcaster ORF is organized by Martin Ramusch, CEO of ip|media, and will attract about 20.000 visitors this year. 2012 this high-profile-event will take place on the “Seebühne” in Klagenfurt for the first time.
The "Champagne Party", the opening party of the ORF Starnacht, takes place at Lake´s - my lake hotel & spa. Many people say, it is the "event of the year". About 300 bottles of champagne are being poured for the high class VIPs!
World Bodypainting Festival
2nd – 8th July 2012
Since 1998, the world’s most colourful event has taken place every year in Austria. The “World Bodypainting Festival” is the biggest art event in the body painting theme, and ten thousands of visitors admire the wonderful work of the participants. Artists from 40 nations worldwide come to this unique event and put body art into the mountain and lake scenery. Pörtschach at the lake Wörthersee near the state capital Klagenfurt is the new location since last year. The new "Bodypaint City" offers easier travel access plus great socializing possibilities and inspiration.
The town Pörtschach, the most impressive location in the state surrounded by turquoise water, is the perfect backdrop for the art form. The very compact town locates all programs within just a few hundred meters. The program ranges from workshop classes and lectures, parties, a fantasy ball to styling jam sessions and much more.
Kärnten Golf Open 2012
7th to 10th June 2012 - Golfclub Klagenfurt-Seltenheim
The Challenge Tour is the second highest league in Europe, out of which stars like Ian Poulter, Justin Rose, Thomas Björn and also the presenter of this tournament, Austria’s number 1, Markus Brier, arose and, thus, have caused a lot of excitement on the European Tour.
This tournament is an unique opportunity for Carinthia to position itself hosting another international top event and presenting its broad range of tourist attractions.
